When we began down this path, over 2 years ago, no one but Tom & Robin Hanel knew we had were interested in pursuing some form of ownership of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Floberg Real Estate. To see if it was a good fit, we took our licensing tests, began at the bottom of the ladder, put our heads down and worked. We saw first hand what new agents encountered and what successful agents did to become the leaders they are. We also noted the dedication of the administration team supporting each and every agent and transaction, constantly exceeding the Floberg’s expectations of excellence. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Floberg Real Estate is an Office of Excellence, and we knew Excellence breeds more Excellence. There was not a day that went by while we were working in the office that seasoned agents did not stop by our desk. They would ask us how they could help or offered to let us host an open house for them. They shared with us how to advertise ourselves and were always there to help with wording, guidance, encouragement. The agents, the admin team, this is what we decided to invest in.
Both owners are uniquely qualified for the challenges and struggles of owning and managing a real estate company. Charles "Dan" Smith brings to the table 20+ years of corporate real estate experience from an acquisition point. Beth Smith has 15+ years of experience as a residential real estate appraiser. But it was the culture of the office, rather than their experience in similar fields, that led to this most recent acquisition.
The Floberg Real Estate office as you know it will not be changing much! The name on the door will be the same as it always has been. Our addresses in Billing, Columbus, and Red Lodge, will be the same. Our phone number is the same. Tom Hanel has graciously agreed to remain managing broker. We are retaining all staff members, and the agents are optimistic about the new ownership! That is not to say that nothing will change. Dan and Beth are committed to continuing to improve upon the already fantastic services and tools that agents and clients receive at our office and are well taken care of.
